Pirate Operating System 1.0: Ghostship OS

GhostShip OS

Pirate Chain Ghostship OS

In today’s digital world, every action online is monitored and tracked. All financial transactions are at best recorded, or worse, hijacked by hackers for future illicit purchases. Pirate Chain is the most secure and anonymous cryptocurrency. Users of Pirate Chain ($ARRR) are assured they are using the most private form of money transfer available to date. While usage of $ARRR secures and anonymizes the financial transaction, there are still potential vectors of attack. The community at Pirate Chain came together to build a privacy-centric, operating system with the primary goal of protecting the user’s security and anonymity.

When using a Pirate wallet with Ghostship you are naturally more protected than any other wallet in crypto because it defends you with protections like VPN and Tor by default. The OS also boasts pro-active defenses like Mac address spoofing which gives you anonymity on your own local network.

Ghostship OS is the first iteration of the Pirate OS series. Pirate Chain developers based the architecture of Ghostship on openSUSE, but the code is fully customized. To protect the privacy of your data, Ghostship includes native Tor integration and built-in support for most commercially available VPNs. You just need to log-in with your VPN username and password.

Using Pirate Chain wallets in the Ghostship OS environment offers stronger security and anonymity than any other standalone wallet in the cryptocurrency market. The OS strives to defend your privacy with VPN and Tor by default. In fact, Ghostship also boasts pro-active defenses such as MAC address spoofing which improves your anonymity on local networks. To round out the security package, Ghostship developers will be including drive encryption (to be released in January 2020). A log-in password will be added to protect the contents on the USB drive in case your device falls into the hands of unauthorized users.

Ease of use is a key feature of GhostShip OS. You just have to burn the iso file onto a USB stick (instructions are provided), and you will be able to boot into Ghostship using that drive on any computer. Once you get to the desktop it takes literally less a minute to open your lite wallet and have a fully synced working wallet.

Ghostship has been stripped down to just the bare essentials needed to run the Pirate Chain wallet in a secure and private environment. This version is intentionally void of commercial web browser or other applications that may compromise security.

Development is already underway for the next iteration, Galleon OS. Plans for Galleon include enhanced anonymity tools and custom productivity applications wrapped with privacy.

Welcome to the new Economy of Privacy, brought to you by the most anonymous cryptocurrency, Pirate Chain.
